Last week, I sent an email and shared on Facebook about Phase 3 in the Covid Protection Framework. Your job remains the same: continue to keep a really close watch of your whānau for anyone with symptoms. If unwell, please stay at home and get advice about getting a COVID-19 test. Our school will communicate with our community when we have a confirmed positive case of a student in our school, as per MOE and MOH guidelines. Who do we advise if my child tests positive for Covid-19? Please contact Abraham Atherton as soon as possible after you have been informed of a positive test result. Last Friday, Room 4 and 5 went to Jellie Park for the school’s annual swimming sports. The students supported each other and competed well. The results for swimming sports will be shared in next week’s newsletter.
Today the Catholic Church celebrates Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. The school gathered this morning outside for a short prayer service led by some of our Room 4 and 5 students. Lent is a time of renewal and spiritual growth to focus on our relationship with Jesus.
