Kia Ora e te Whanau,
We had sixty students in attendance at our Sunday Parish
School Mass. This was a good turn out, however we must
strive to have the majority of our students participating in
our School Masses. Thank you to all the students and
families that attended Mass and supported the PTA Cake
Stall. Also, thank you to Miss Quinn for her planning and
organisation of the Mass.
It was great to see many families contributing baking for
the Cake Stall, and this was a great fundraiser for the
school. There were many delicious treats that I saw
students, parents and parishioners eating after Mass. A
special thank you to the PTA Members who priced and sold
the items.
We wish the following students the very best as they
compete in the North Zone Swimming Competition
tomorrow. I know that they will represent the school to a
high standard: Alexander, George K, Cameron, Rylee, Flynn,
Naledi, Billy, Oliver C, Samuel M.
During this Lenten Season St Albans Catholic School is
supporting St Vincent de Paul with their 40 bags in 40 days
collection, with a slight variation. It was great to see
families contributing last week. There is a note further on
in the newsletter.
Nga mihi nui,
Abraham Atherton
