Kia Ora e te Whanau, Thank you for your attendance at the Meet the Teacher meetings yesterday evening. It was great to see a number of parents attending. If you were unable to attend, please see your child’s teacher for any available handouts.

The ‘Meet the Teacher’ meeting introduces parents to the classroom programme and your child’s teacher. If you have any concerns during the year, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange a meeting.

With the current heat wave, it is important that all children have their school hat each day, a drink bottle and if possible, sunscreen applied in the morning. There are bottles of sunscreen in each classroom for children to use during the day.

Fr Rick Loughnan has made himself available to meet with families who require a Preference Certificate. He will be at St Albans Catholic School on Friday 8 March at 3pm. If you have any children beginning school this year, please ensure you make one of the Friday meetings for Father Rick to meet with you. In addition to the Preference Certificate, if you are interested in your child being baptised please let Jenni in the office know. Fr Rick is happy to speak with families about the Sacrament of Baptism.

Nga mihi nui,

Abraham Atherton
