Did you know that the Diocesan website has an archives section? There are lots of really interesting and informative information on the site. One resource of special interest is all about the Bishops of the Catholic Diocese of Christchurch.  It is a great read so take the time to have a look at it.

What is Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration? Perpetual Adoration is where Jesus, in the Blessed Sacrament, is exposed in a monstrance, on an altar, in a particular Church or chapel, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including right throughout the night. This practice of Perpetual Adoration has developed greatly over the last century. Pope Benedict XVI, in his Apostolic Exhortation on the Eucharist recommended, Bishops “to set aside specific churches for perpetual adoration”. Do we have specific churches set aside for perpetual adoration here in Christchurch...YES WE DO!
