St Albans Catholic School is now an accredited Sunsmart School.
Cheryl Ford from the Cancer Society presented the school with an accreditation certificate. This means that we have developed and implemented a sun protection policy for Terms 1and 4. The policy must meet the Cancer Society's minimum criteria which ensures students and teachers are in a sunsafe environment.
Cheryl also gave the school a UV index that we can use to show what the UV level is going to be for the day.
As part of our Sunsmart programme we have a new sunshade that is going to be errected over these school holidays and will shade students playing the sandpit.
